100 Thieves dominate CWL London - TrawmTrending
The Copper Box Arena in London’s Olympic park was packed to the roof yesterday with screaming fans attending the 2019 Call of Duty World League final. Bringing the London leg of the tournament to a close in dramatic style were eUnited and 100 Thieves. Duelling 4 rounds on Hacienda and Gridlock, 100 Thieves emerged victorious with a 3-1 victory, their first ever major tournament win.
100T had already overcome a massive hurdle by beating long-time rivals OpTic Gaming in the semi’s, resulting in the LA-based organisation’s first spot in a tournament final. Investor & partial owner Drake celebrated the win with a post on his instagram story, undoubtedly confusing thousands of his followers who don’t know what esports are.
Winning was understandably an enormous cause for celebration for 100T Founder & CEO Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag, who marked the occasion by almost making himself pass out:
